Valencia fans clash with police after another loss

On Monday evening, around a thousand Valencia supporters gathered outside Mestalla Stadium to protest near the VIP box exit, surrounded by a police cordon. The tension escalated as the police charged at several fans who had moved towards the players' exit.

Before the match, the Valencia fans had already assembled to voice their discontent with "the tyranny of Lim," and after the final whistle, they spent 20 minutes outside the VIP area before making their way to the players' parking lot. Police intervention forced them to leave the area, leading the protesters to relocate to the club's social headquarters, located just a few meters away from the stadium.

Several police vans were stationed at both the parking area inside Mestalla and the social headquarters, maintaining a presence until about an hour and a half after the match. Meanwhile, most of the Valencia players remained inside the stadium following their 2-3 loss to Las Palmas, which left the team at the bottom of the La Liga table.

The fans began protesting after Valencia went down 1-2, waving white handkerchiefs in frustration over the poor performance under Meriton Holdings. The team had only managed six points in the first ten matches, and the defeat to last-placed Las Palmas marked their eighth consecutive week in the relegation zone.

Chants such as "On them, oé," "We want a bomb in Singapore," and "You are not going to leave" rang out from the supporters at the stadium gates, where white handkerchiefs were waved again after Las Palmas completed their comeback with a second goal.

Throughout the match, Valencia supporters condemned the club's decline over the past five years. In addition to the familiar chants of "Peter, leave now," they also directed their frustrations toward corporate director Javier Solís, sporting director Miguel Ángel Corona, and club president Layhoon Chan.
